Stone Lanterns
Originally votive lights from temples or
shrines for lighting tea garden paths
As tea ceremonies often occurred in the evening, light was needed to
show the guests the way through the garden
The lanterns also gave the right atmosphere for the ceremony
Also used for decorative focal points in the garden
